In this chapter, the boys head to Simon's home. Simon's home was huge, and glorious. High ceilings, marble foyer, and a glass chandelier inside. The boys look around and admire his home. They then head up to his room, and disover his closet. Which held only 6 or 7 shirts, white or pale blue, and 5 pairs of navy blue double-knit slacks. They tell Simon that he needs to start renovations as soon as possible. Which they do. They then head to the mall, and get started with Simon's new look. New shirts, new pants, even a new haircut. They make Simon look brand new. And more approachable. Later on, after returning from the mall, Simon tells Coop that he organized his notebook. Making it neater and more understandable. Coop then thanks Simon, and tells him that the next morning they will be running at 7am.
When Young gets home from Simon's house, his father is waiting for him. Mr. Steward then tells Young that he is disappointed in him for switching out of biology an into creative writing. Young tells him it's cause of his weak stomach, but Mr. Steward wants his son to be a doctor. The 2 get into an argument and then Young goes into his room. Screaming into his pillow, and when he calms down, he writes a story.

Chapter 6
This chapter goes back in time to when Rob Haynes first comes to B'Vale. Young and Rob are in biology, and their teacher gives them live frogs, and a cotton ball to dip in some chloroform. The boys were to use the chloroform to kill the frogs, and be able to dissect them. Young explains since the novel is through his eyes, that he has a weak stomach. Meanwhile Rob is torturing his frog; by flicking it, smacking it, and shoving the chloroform in the frogs face, and taking it away. Only till he puts the frog in the jar they are given, and throws the cottonball inside.
Chapter 5
In this chapter, Rob brings the group to an equipment room. Simon feels uncomfortable because they "aren't supposed to be there." The boys then start cleaning up Simon's appearance. Telling him to get new clothes, new hair cut, new shoes, zip his pants, lose some weight, lose the pocket protector, etc. So pretty much this chapter is about how the boys get together to create the new Simon Glass.
Chapter 4
In this chapter, Rob and friends are at a lounge, and Simon is Rob's prey. While working on a project, Rob goes and brings Simon to the table. Simon seems hesitant, and Rob pretty much tells Simon to relax and enjoy himself. As well as not to worry, and that nothing will happen to him.
Chapter 3
Chapter 3. The 4 boys are in the weight room, and are discussing Rob's plan. And how Rob wants to make Simon Glass "prince charming." Rob talks about how he loves challenges and that this would be an excellent one.
After the weight room, Coop and Young leave for Coops home to work on a project, and his father is there. His father is described in this book as enormous, obese, lazy, and rude. Coops father has little faith in his son.

Chapter 2
In the second chapter, we find Rob and Young heading to their classroom. They end up having to do a test, and they have a female substitute. Rob is able to convince her to not let them do the test. And in this chapter we hear the back story of Young. Throughout the novel, we are looking through Young's eyes.
Later on, the 4 boys are in the cafeteria, and Rob develops a plan to make Simon Glass popular. Rob is walking through the cafe and he sees Simon sitting alone. Rob walks up and asks Simon if he can sit. Simon seems nervous and says nothing. But eventually lets Rob sit with him. The boys talk for a bit, and Rob sets his plan into motion later on.
